Community Sports Program
Due to COVID-19 the regular Sports Program has been postponed in order to keep everyone safe.  Presently we are offering iWorkout with SNA videos (please see below) anyone can use to keep healthy and our bodies in shape.  We are also asking for donations of lightly used or new sport equipment which we are giving out to community members so they can keep physically active during this time.
The SNA Sports Program provides youth in Spence neighbourhood with access to barrier-free, organized sports. Our program is offered year-round and serves more than 250 youth, ages 6-17. We work to provide access to a wide range of sports, including basketball, soccer, wrestling, bicycling, volleyball, rock climbing, floor hockey and more! All of our programs are provided at no cost to participants and no requirements of previous experience or ability. The program is supported by dedicated staff, volunteers, community coaches and partner organizations. Together we work to provide a safe and supportive environment in which youth can play, learn and have fun. Programs are filled on a first come–first serve basis.
The opportunities provided by the SNA Sports Program are made possible through the generous support of these organizations: Sport Manitoba, University of Winnipeg Wesmen Athletics, Graham C. Lount Family Foundation, Canadian Tire Jumpstart,  Province of Manitoba Sport Opportunities Program, Broadway Neighbourhood Centre, Youth Agencies Alliance, and the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association.

Sport Exploration Program

The Sport Exploration program is geared toward allowing youth in the West End Area to gain exposure to different sports. Our aim is provide our participants barrier free access to these opportunities. As such, participants will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of sports that will be offered over the span of several weeks free of charge. In these programs, there will be instructors that will teach them the necessary skills to play the sport effectively.  So far this year, we have offered Gymnastics for 6-12 year olds. In November we will be offering youth ages 12-18 a program as well – stay tuned for details by checking our Facebook page at

If interested, participants must fill out a registration form that can be found at our 430 Langside Location.
